Huck Embroidery

Taught by:

Lili Witczack

Tuesdays

1:00 pm – 2:30 pm.

 4 weeks from

June 18 through July 9.

Recommended for students 6th grade and above, and parents are welcome!

CLASS BEGINS:  June 18, 2019

COURSE DURATION:  4 weeks from June 18 through July 9.

This is a class for kids to have fun, while making new friends and learning a new craft.

Other reasons to take the class:

  • –Items made are suitable to give as gifts.
  • –You will be even nicer. Handwork is very calming.  During her years as a homeschooling mom, when Miss Lilli drove her kids to her embroidery class, she could catch bits and pieces of the discussion her kids had in the backseat. It went something like “she’s always really nice after she’s been to class.” Proof positive that embroidery makes people nicer.
  • –You might develop a life long hobby. Miss Lilli started doing handwork when she was (in her mother’s womb?) in kindergarten and she still loves it.

COST: $80.00 for summer class  ($85 if a charter student) plus a $20 supplies fee to cover pattern, fabric, and thread. Students should bring a little sewing kit to class. Be sure it includes scissors and two needles, one for embroidering and one for hemming. Lastly, there are Huck patterns all over the internet. If you find one you’d like to make, please bring it to class.

The Money Mystery

Summer Session 6 weeks

Tuesday 9:00 AM

June 11 through July 9

Grades 6 though 12

Cost $175 Private Home School and $225 for charters

Get ahead of the status quo and learn the way money works. You will be prepared to create your own banking system and win your own personal lottery. Create the strategy that is legal and will work for you and your family where ever you are around the globe.

Dive into the hidden force affecting businesses, careers and investments, and what you can do about it. During the 1980s, the velocity of the circulation of the dollar became erratic; now the whole country is affected. The financial trigger. Precautions you should take. Not one analyst in a thousand understands what velocity is doing to us, but you will.

The depression of the ’30’s, the ’80’s, fiat money, runs on the bank and freezing assets…what does it all have to do with Americans?

Written in the same letter format as Richard Maybury’s other “Uncle Eric” books, students will gain a remarkably easy to understand introduction to the causes and effects of inflation and deflation. Using the real-life examples of the assignat and mandate that lead to Napoleon’s rise, the freezing of Iranian Assets that led to other Arab investors ‘dumping the dollar’ and other historical events, Maybury creates a recent economic history of America. Sequel to Whatever Happened To Penny Candy?

COURSE DURATION:  6 weeks from June 18 through July 30.

 CLASS DAY/TIME: Tuesdays, 11:45 am – 1:00 pm.

This is a class for kids to have fun and just get their feet wet. The amount covered in the class will depend upon the level of the students. We will begin by learning the high E string and hopefully get through the third (or g) string before the session ends.

COST: $65.00 per 6-week session ($85 if a charter student) plus book. Students must bring their own guitar, a pick, and the book to each class. We might have such a good time that we decide to extend this class or have more classes like this one at EIE!
