Slow down, look closely, and discover the beauty of God’s creation!
Nature Journaling is a hands-on class that combines science, art, and observation as students explore the natural world through drawing, writing, and discovery. Each week, students will investigate a different aspect of nature—such as birds, insects, trees, flowers, weather, rocks, and more—while learning to observe like scientists and record their findings like naturalists.
Students will spend time outdoors making careful observations, asking questions, sketching what they see, and creating their own personalized nature journal. Along the way, they’ll strengthen observation skills, creativity, scientific thinking, and appreciation for the incredible world around them.
Students will:
- Observe and explore God’s creation through hands-on outdoor activities
- Learn about plants, animals, insects, weather, and ecosystems
- Develop sketching and journaling skills
- Practice careful observation and scientific inquiry
- Build curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail
- Create a beautiful nature journal to take home at the end of the year
No artistic experience is necessary—just a sense of wonder and a willingness to explore!
All materials will be provided
