“Where every move matters, every challenge builds confidence, and every game teaches students how to think—not just what to think.”

Sharpen your mind while having fun!

Masterminds is a hands-on strategy and logic class where students develop critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills through modern board games, card games, escape rooms, logic puzzles, and team challenges.

Students will learn to think several moves ahead, adapt their strategies, communicate effectively, and analyze problems from multiple perspectives. Throughout the year, we’ll play a variety of award-winning strategy games—including favorites like Qwirkle, Blokus, Splendor, Ticket to Ride, and more—while exploring the thinking skills that make successful problem solvers.

Each month concludes with a collaborative challenge such as an escape room, mystery case, or logic competition where students apply the strategies they’ve been developing.

Students will:

  • Develop critical thinking and logical reasoning
  • Strengthen planning and decision-making skills
  • Learn strategic thinking through modern board and card games
  • Solve puzzles, mysteries, and escape room challenges
  • Practice communication, teamwork, and good sportsmanship
  • Build confidence while having fun with friends
