Meet the Teacher: Dahlia Abrams
Dahlia is a chef and functional nutrition counselor with 30 years of experience teaching children. She has cooked in professional kitchens, competed on MasterChef, and now runs Nourish by Dahlia, her local culinary and nutrition business where she offers personal chef services and approachable cooking workshops. She also provides simple, practical nutrition support for individuals and families. And as a longtime homeschool parent, Dahlia brings a calm, patient, and supportive hands-on approach to every class, helping students feel capable, confident, and excited to cook.

Parents/guardians must remain on site during class. Â
Liability waiver required upon registration.
This engaging cooking series gives young chefs a chance to explore the kitchen through hands-on activities, simple techniques, and fun weekly themes. Students mix, measure, taste, and learn how ingredients change as they cook — all while building confidence and creativity.
Focus areas:
- Basic kitchen safety
- Measuring, mixing, and simple prep
- Gentle food science moments
- Seasonal cooking and baking
- Confidence and independence in the kitchen
Allergy Note:  Upon registering, please inform the instructor of any allergies or dietary restrictions your child has. While reasonable precautions are taken, recipe adjustments cannot be made during class.
