Journeys: Literature & Language Arts

TAUGHT BY

TANYA ROBINSON

Tuesdays

9:00 – 10:15

There are many works of literature that focus on the theme of a journey, either literally or metaphorically. In this one-year course we will read, enjoy and examine some of these works of literature, understand their historical contexts, and study the literary and rhetorical techniques the authors used in their creations. Students will have an opportunity to develop their writing skills through a variety of assignments. The course is intended for students in grades 9-12, but middle school students are encouraged to join because this is also a great introduction to classic literature.
This class is a-g aligned.

September 8, 2026 – May 11, 2026 (2 semesters)
