This part of the course will include hands on laboratory activities. We will learn how people used and processed plants for food, cordage and clothing, how people fermented and preserved foods, how people worked with fire and obtained light at night, how dogs, cats, and people have crucially worked together for survival, and how people optimized their house designs for a world without central heat and air conditioning.
